Marriage is considered a very strong bond of relationship and courtesy in indian society. But this institution has been never allowed to take place amongst inter-caste. The Brahmin has always propogated and advocated for the intra-cast marriages. But why suppress inter-caste marriages?? Well it is so because intercaste marriage is te biggest means to achive social solidarity in the caste divided indian society, after common ideology. Marriage is the institution which can establish the bonds of harmony in the otherwise unorganized amorphous society. And this is the one fatal blow to the caste system to lead to its demolishment. Hence brahmins of india ave always spoke against the intey-cast marriage as there superficial supremacy comes under the danger of ceasing. Hence they take any measure they can to prevent inter-caste marriage.
