'JUMBO PAY OF THE LORDS' Men who legislate for this entity called Nigeria has no conscience neither do they have any career other than implementing laws that befit their legislative contraption. Nigerians should check out what these men do as a career before they are called to hallowed chamber. For instance, Arnoid Schwarzenegger who was elected, the Governor of California, USA has a career as a movie actor, Mr Universe and so on, but he gave his best of civic responsibilities to his people, above all he is likable. The question now is Does the functions of these legislators tantamount with their JUMBO PAY? When there is so much broken infrastructures on the land. Are they likable?..... According to The Economist as cited in Tell (2013), a Nigerian legislator earns a basic salary (excluding allowances) of $189,500 (about N29.8 million) per annum. Specifically, the report stressed that the staggering salary is 116 times the country’s gross domestic product, GDP, per person, which is $1,600 (about N251, 200). This is enough to pay their generation tuition fees abroad, buy houses in Las Vegas, Paris and live exclusive lifestyle, but they suddenly forget that men who developed and build these places of interest were not like them. I weep for this country!..poor health care, poor school system, currently tertiary teachers are striking calling for an improve learning environment as compare to a sitting senator calling for ‘’Nay and I have it’’ After all their wards are not here…What a world! Until, the Nigerian senators goes beyond POLITIC and make laws that will limit their excessive spending and country development that will rather impact positively on every Nigerians, otherwise...
