---My Qualifications--- The Constitution of the State of Arkansas provides for the election of the county judge to a two-year term of office. To be qualified, he/she be at least 25 years of age, a qualified elector, and a resident of the county. My qualifications are as follows:-- ( I have never run for public office before ) (I was born in Jonesboro, Ar. In 1947 and lived in Caraway, Ar. Until 1973) 1.)- Upon the death of my father when I was 17 years old, I was self employed as Grocery Store Owner/Operator from ------------------------------------1964 to 1968 2.)-Worked full-time at General Electric while obtaining a degree in Accounting and Business Administration at ASU in Jonesboro, Ar. from --------------1968 to 1973 3.)-Worked my way up from an Accountant in Patient Accounts to Associate Hospital Administrator at University Hospital in Little Rock, Ar. ( 7promotions during a 9 year period) from -----------------------------------------------------1973 to 1982 4.)-Financial Controller for two 550 bed hospitals and thirteen Out-Patient Clinics in Houston, Texas ( Harris County Hospital District ) where year-end results went from an operating loss of over $ 7million in 1982 to an operating profit of over $ 27million for the year ending March 31, 1986 -------------------------------------1982 to 1986 5.)-Executive Vice President Of Finance for Midland County Hospital District in Midland, Texas (Three Hospitals and Several Clinics) from -----------1986 to 1993 6.)-Senior Vice President Of Finance with SMC Healthcare Corporation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from ------------------------------------------------------1993 to 1996 7.)-Founding Partner and President of eight healthcare related corporations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma------------------------------------------------1996 to 1999 8.)- Took early retirement and bought property in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas where my wife and I have lived for the past 14 years from-------------------1999 to Current (Have done some consulting since 1999) (Currently serving as a Deacon for First Baptist Church Of Mammoth Spring)
