- Kousarnag religious dispute: Temporary mosque built by Jihadi Muslim youths in a traditional Hindu Shrine and performed Namaz. - Before the onset of militancy in 1989, traditionally the devotees used to visit the Kausar Nag lake situated at an altitude of about 12,000 feet in Pir Panjal range in south Kashmir. - The puja, however, got disrupted with the eruption of militancy. The puja was resumed by devotees a few years back following improvement in the overall security scenario. - The scheduled Kausarnag Yatra from 30th July to 3rd August, 2014 this year was stopped by the Omar Abdullah Govt., withdrawing its earlier permission to the Yatra, due to vehement protest from different Islamic outfits including Hurrityat Conference. - All the Jehadi outfits in the valley objected the Kausarnag Yatra pointing it as a Hindu aggression in Kashmir valley and to violate the environmental purity there. - Also, compared the situation as the present Israel-Palestine conflict as the Hindu majority of Bharat is trying a demographic change in Kashmir valley of Muslim minority people. - Media team found that a temporary Mosque has been built on the Hindu Shrine - When Omar Abdullah was asked then he told lies on the camera and said there is no Mosque! - Geelani has also argued against extending the 15-day Amarnath yatra to two months.
