1/6/15 - Day 166: Living with Keith, I probably take the advances in his recovery for granted. I took Keith to Kaiser Rehab this morning as usual. One of his therapists was back from being out since 11/17/14 for medical reasons. I greeted her as I was really glad she was back as she was to be our go to person for Keiths rehab. She had seen Keith once since his first meeting on 11/17. She asked Keith if he remembered her and he said that he did. She asked him what she was. Keith replied that she was a therapist. She then asked him if he remembered what kind of therapist and he replied occupational. I know that sounds like such a small victory, but Keith is doing better with his memory. Now that the holidays are over, Keiths agitation and anger seems to be subsiding to an extent. Still has outburst, but they are getting less frequent. We are concerned now that he seems to be bored and has nothing to do. But he doesnt seem to have any desire to do anything when we offer ideas. Having never been down this road before, we are struggling with knowing what we are supposed to be doing to further his recovery.
