10th August : Dr. Mrs. Taranekar (Eminent medical practitioner, Gynecologist, and Social Worker) addressed the slum children, and their mothers today.The volunteer teachers of ” Faza Foundation” were present too. The issues covered in the session were; Mainly physical health and others were personal hygiene, advice on how to raise their children, anger control and prevention of abuses. . The valuable Lecture by Dr. Mrs. Taranekar has motivated everyone present, to bring a change in their lifestyles . Later it was followed by discussions. Many of them put forward their thoughts and concerns. This session has opened ground for any further medical help and counseling. Regular sessions will be planned, including specialist doctors.
