14. SENIOR TRAINING OFFICERS. REF: NCA/14/02/2013 (2 Positions) The Position Reports to the General Manager -Registration, Compliance & Training, the job holder will assist in the Training and Capacity Building department of the Authority. Key Responsibilities Assist in conducting continuous training needs assessments. Assist in development of capacity building programs to meet performance gaps. Maintenance of register with continuous professional development (CPD) points for skilled workers and site supervisors to assess their performance and competencies periodically. Assist in development and monitoring the accredited training institutions and their training staff. Assist in monitoring all the training institutions, public or private before accreditation is given to make sure all regulations as per the Act are adhered to. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director. Qualifications, Experience, Competencies A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university. Minimum of 5 years working experience within the construction industry. Member of a Professional Body with a current valid registration certificate. Registered with the relevant board and holder of a current valid annual practicing license. Demonstrate exposure to a computerized working environment and basic ICT literacy. Visible, approachable and energetic with knowledge of how to get things done as part of management team. Good communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
