16.) NON-UNION WORKERS EARN LESS PAY than their UNIONIZED counter-parts. Your employer knows this and is desperately trying to keep the UNION out for that reason. Most of the PAY that UNIONIZED flight attendants make comes from negotiation of “WORK RULES” which translates to “PAYING YOU” for ALL of the EXTRA work and time that you put in for FREE now,…… as well as “PAYING YOU” when “THEY INCONVENIENCE YOU” and it is: “THEIR MISTAKE”. This “COMPENSATION” which will be written into your CONTRACT, makes the COMPANY “ACCOUNTABLE” for “INCONVENIENCING YOU”. Since the company knows there will be a “PENALTY TO PAY” if they “screw up,.. they will CONFORM to the RULES more often than not. A good EXAMPLE might be that if you are ever “REROUTED” the company would be responsible to get you back on your regular trip by the next day or home at the same time or before your original trip was “scheduled to arrive” and with no less pay than the original trip was scheduled to have, even if you flew less hours due to the company “rerouting” you.
