16TH APRIL 2014. MORNING DEVOTION.THE SPIRIT OF NEW THINGS TODAYS SCRIPTURE.The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (Isaiah 61:1) Doubt is an enemy of spiritual empowerment! A life of doubt is a life in the flesh,if all you believe is what your five senses say then you are most limited of all humanity. You cannot live or walk in the spirit if you operate in doubt. Being a doubtful believer makes you a doubting Thomas. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.(John 20:25 KJV). Do not doubt like Thomas, but believe the word of God that says the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me. This should be your confession on a daily basis and at all times! You dont have to feel it or see it before you believe that you carry God-the spirit, on your inside. You cannot feel the Holy Spirit or touch Him with your physical organs but with your spirit.Many have lost the power of the spirit because of unbelief and in order to experience Him,you must believe He resides inside you.The opening scripture says the spirit of the Lord God resides in you. Be confident because the scripture cannot be broken. If the Bible says it, so it is! Just believe you are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that the spirit of God dwells in your inside. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1Cor 6:19.KJV) You are the container of God on earth,wherever you go God is there. Be conscious of this truth that the spirit of God is inside you and you will see how great your faith will be. When Jesus our example read the opening scripture in a temple in the new testament it was with immediate response and He began to declare its fulfillment. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.(Luke 4:16-22). Just as this scripture was fulfilled in Jesus ministry, it will also be fulfilled in your life. Say it everywhere you go that God resides in you. Todays Confession.
