#183 Hi guys, I dont know if there have been similar posts but I just want to say that we should really be a lot nicer to the school cleaner aunties and uncles. Im tired of seeing most of us treating them like they are invisible. Its not that hard to just give them a smile or a wave, or say good morning or hi auntie! 早安. I know theyre not our friends or anything, but at least treat them like theyre there and they exist and like they matter. I know we lead busy and stressful lives but come on its not that hard to say hi. When they come over to clean the canteen tables for us, just thank them, or at the very least move your shit so that its easier for them to clean up after you-,- Im sure some of us are friendly towards them, but rather than these people being a minority, it should be a majority of us that are doing this. Of course sometimes they might dao you cos they cant really hear or you said it too softly or theyre busy or whatever, but dont let that deter you from saying hi the next time you see them! Also, we should really try to put our crockery and plates back into the correct containers, its seriously annoying to see how some people put their plates and their utensils into the SAME container. I mean pls, its already labelled for you, what more do you want. We can also try to stack the trays NICELY, it doesnt take much effort to do so. I mean, these are small things, and I dont mean to be petty or anything, but I think that these small actions would really make the cleaners jobs easier and make their life at RJ happier too (or at least I hope so). So for those of you who are doing it, I applaud you, please continue. For those who arent, its never too late to start!!:) We can also try talking to them if theyre free. Trust me, once youve said hi to them enough times, theyll talk to you naturally and they really have interesting things to say. (same goes for canteen vendors). I didnt type this post because I wanted to achieve some goal of RJ becoming a warmer place or wdv, but seriously people, our cleaners are not earning that much, and they are so much older than us yet they have to clean up after us. The least we can do is make their day to day life filled with more smiles and less dao faces. If youve read till the end of this rather long post, lol thanks I appreciate it. Hope to see all of us smiling more and daoing less.
