1941 I was born, pre-war by 9 months. I remember chewing gum that turned to powder because something in it was rationed, Margarine that came in a plastic bag that you had to massage to get the artificial color into it. I have cardboard ration points which was the change you got if you didnt spend the full value of your ration stamps. i remember going to a military surplus store and buying a gas mask after the war and another time buying a british I.D. model made of hard rubber. Everything else Ive forgotten.
