20-year already, I’ve been working! Su, su ... Keep the efforts and spiritual up!! Let’s join me in celebrating my 20 years [1994-2014] career-life from a young to an old employee [being husband and also father]. Mr. Sanghak KAN was originally born and grew up in Pursat province. After finished his general knowledge (Baccalaureate - Bacc.II) in 1993 he moved in Phnom Penh to get his higher education and work up-to-now. Over the 20 years, Mr. Sanghak KAN has been working for the variety of institutions such as Cambodian Government, Private Sector, Local and International Non-Governmental Organizations, and, presently, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Sanghak officially started his works in the Communications/Information Unit, UNDP on the 1st January 2009 up-to-date. As a Communications/Information staff, Sanghak supports the implementation of the communications and advocacy strategies of the office to increase the standing and awareness of UNDP with partners, the media and the public. Before starting his current position, Sanghak worked at the Ministry of Social Affaire, Labor Vocation and Training and Re-habitation) as the Administrative Assistant for 2 years, Jan 1994 to Jul 1996. From Jul 1996 to Jul 1997 he was Accountant at ACLEDA (Local NGO) and worked as Computer Trainer at Human Resource Development Center (Local NGO) from Jul 1997 to Dec 1997. From Mar 1998 to Jun 2003 Sanghak worked at ADRA (International NGO) for 5 years and three months held numerous positions including Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Accountant, Cashier, Administrator and Logistics/Procurement Manager. From Aug 2003 to Jun 2004, he was the Admin/Accountant at UNDP (UN Agency) funded projects partnership with Ministry of Planning (Government). From Aug 2004 to Oct 2004 he worked as Consultant at Green Goal Ltd (Private Company). He worked as Finance Officer/Manager at IFRC (International Organization) from Oct 2004 to Mar 2005. From Mar 2005 to Dec 2008 as Project Executive member to the Capacities for Efficient Delivery of Achievable Results, (CEDAR) UNDP and Assistant to Programme Resource Coordination Unit/Programme Support Unit - UNDP. Mr. Sanghak KAN holds a bachelor degree in the field of Management and a master degree in Public Administration and also a certificate of General Accounting as well as a number of certificates from trainings/workshops in and outside the country. In this meantime, Sanghak is pursuing another Master of Arts in International Relations, major in Diplomacy.
