2014 A note to our fans and friends worldwide old and new. Well what can we say, its been a roller coaster ride for the band and its members from start to finish. January , Charlie was invited down to Australia by his good friend Russell Crowe to perform along with other friends at Coffs Harbour, theatre. Great times He made it back in good time for Burns night in London at the Hootanannays. Awesome gig !! Awesome crowd!! February flew in and Charlie was invited to Istanbul for filming with Russell Crowe in his directional debut The Water Diviner a must see folks, an epic tale all from a single sentence in a diary. Then returning to film in London with his combat team, Combat International the Clan worked in freezing conditions on Macbeth with Michael Fassbender, raising money for the Clanranald trust and Duncarron. March Arrived and Tolach Jameson, friend and fellow musician from The Dolmen offered his help and mixed the live album Open Air Asylumand the band also saw the final efforts of their friend Fintan mixing Outlander the Cd that was quickly followed by the Folk N Rock DVD also put together edited by Fintan. Then it was off to SxSW in Texas for the whole band. They kicked up a storm at the event creating a lot of interest and drank all the tequila in a. coyote ugly bar. April Arriving in North Carolina, the band held a performance on the opening night for Tartan Day-South Columbia, continuing on their mini tour they Performed at the games atTartan Day-South Columbia, & NYC Tartan Week Charlie then also travelled to Washington DC to participate on the panel of the National Tartan Day Symposium at Congressional Hall moving on to meet the lads to perform at concerts in Fayetteville Tech. Community College-Fayetteville, NC Loch Norman Highland Games , Huntersville, NC Charlie arrived home just in time to travel to Italy at the request of Danilo Sacco, former vocalist for Italian band Nomadi to perform on his new release he also introduced him to his fans at a concert they were performing and Charlie performing Three Wee Jigs with Danilos band went down a storm. May Launched us back to our second home, Germany. MPS season began and we played almost every weekend right through from Fredenbaumpark in May to Hohenlockstedt in October. Of course there were many highlights during MPS some great crowds and great laughs with fans and other bands alike and we have watched our fan-base grow from strength to strength. Attending such events as the one and only Wacken for the second time, Festival Mediaval, Hexentanz , Lo Spirito Del Pianeta in Italy ( in June ) Duncarron back home in Scotland. Fighting and performing at Bannockburn Live in Scotland and performing at Concept Medieval in Heilbad Heiligenstadt all brings fresh faces and new fans to the stage, all of which we appreciate.We like that that happens . Its great news to us all. August brought us Dan Dean our new arrival and great addition to the team. Hes been a great asset to the band and so far has had us all suffering from sore faces and sore ribs from laughing so much on and off stage. Its great to see the lads relax and have fun doing what they do well, once again. Thank you all for giving him a warm welcome. Finishing the season off in Glastonbury at Faery events concerts, we had a great time. Glastonbury village really is an extraordinary place, lovely people. Oh and as if that wasnt enough for us in November we brought Our German hardcore fans a mini tour, a new experiment, just like Torag two years previously. You will see a lot more of those experiments :)) With many fantastic reviews of Outlander from critics worldwide its no surprise we went in at No2 in the World Music Charts!!!!! Solveig even won best song of the year in Newzealand !! So as the year draws to an end we can promise you all, that there will be many many more activities to talk about next year. We look forward to seeing you all on the tour in 2015 Meanwhile enjoy your time at home and with your families and loved ones, give a thought to your neighbours, especially the lonely and extra especially the elderly. This world has many wrongs happening nowadays and it is the weak and vulnerable that suffer the most. Drop a flask of hot soup in or just knock on the door to make sure they are warm and okay.
