(24/01/14) [ON THE WING OF HIS PRESENCE 2] Exodus 33:14-15 reads “And he said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence”. Psalm 114 provides an account of the effect of the Presence of the Lord, describing how the Red Sea fled and the mountains and hills departed, the very earth trembling at the Presence of the Lord. I declare that this year 2014, as you determine to Go Forward in the Presence of the Lord, the obstacles that you face will depart and melt like wax before the Presence of the Lord. Let’s look together briefly at 3 of the blessings of His Presence today: 1. Rest: God assured Moses in Exodus 33, ‘My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest.’ The word ‘rest’ used in this context is the same Hebrew word used when Noah’s Ark rested on Mount Ararat. Rather than meaning an absence of challenges, it denotes ‘arrival at a defined destination. I declare that this year, you will make it, you will not die on the journey but you will arrive at your destination. 2. Favour: We see that the favour of God on the lives of the children of Israel resulted in the Egyptians willingly giving them articles of silver and gold prior to the exodus, enabling them to plunder their former oppressors. I declare that this year as you Go Forward in the Presence of the Lord, doors will open for you and your petitions will not be denied in Jesus’ Name. 3. Victory: The children of Israel enjoyed victory over the challenges that they faced as long as they remained in the Presence of the Lord, however when they turned their back on Him, they encountered defeat. We need the Presence of the Lord in order to enjoy sustained victory against the attack of the enemy. As you Go Forward in the Presence of the Lord, you will experience comprehensive victory on all sides. 4. Protection: God protected the children of Israel from the advancing army of the Egyptians. We see in Exodus 14 that the pillar of cloud appeared as a cloud of darkness to the Egyptians, whilst at the same time providing light by night to the children of Israel. I declare that as you Go Forward in the Presence of the Lord, your enemies will not be granted access to you. Selah! Pray with me: LORD, let your presence go with me in this year. AMEN God Bless You. Remember God loves you; and so do I. Do Have a Favourable Friday.
