253 runners came along today, well done to all of you! :-) Thank you SO MUCH to the 22 awesome volunteers who made it happen! :-D 4 double crossers this morning and a handful of people who refused to take a Finish Token too... It is so important to take a token and only cross the Finish Line once, as it truly does mess up the results for everyone else. I was in the park until 10:45 today (staring blankly at a screen) trying my best to sort them out, normally we are on our way home by 10am. Please try your hardest to make our event run smoothly, by doing these simple things! Thank you! Despite promising he was never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, Rick Astley & Co are coming to town next week. Sadly this means we have had to cancel your Saturday morning fix of parkrun! Daniel TURNER (SM20-24) (Unattached) was second over the line in 16:47 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions. Antoine DELATTRE (SM20-24) (Unattached) was third over the line in 16:47. Womens placings: Charlotte GARDNER (VW40-44) of Telford Harriers, was first (28th overall) over the line in 21:43 - third time in 53 appearances. Elly WILLOUGHBY (SW25-29) of Lawley Running Club, was second (33rd overall) over the line in 22:11. Amy WAKELEY (SW30-34) of Wrekin Road Runners, was third (47th overall) over the line in 23:16. The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores: Graham SMITH (VM40-44) was graded 82.60% for the time 16:46 (first overall). Dale WILKINSON (VM40-44) was graded 81.44% for the time 17:09 (4th overall). Nick THOMAS (VM50-54) was graded 79.16% for the time 18:38 (12th overall). This week there were 253 runners, of whom 39 were first timers and 70 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 15 different athletics clubs took part. Telford parkrun started on 16th February 2013, and since then 2,814 different runners, including participants from 163 athletics clubs, have completed 14,413 runs covering a total distance of 72,065 km, and there have been 4,166 new Personal Bests. The womens record is held by Kim FAWKE-WILLIAMS who ran in a time of 00:16:53 on 2014-05-31 (event number 62). The mens record is held by Chris DAVIES who ran in a time of 00:14:39 on 2013-08-03 (event number 24). The Age Grade course record is held by Paul WARD who recorded a 93.20% run (15:27) on 9th August 2014 (event number 70).
