.26/1/2015 ॐ श्रीपरमात्मने नमः । WHAT IS INTELLECT? Intellect means to make selection. Intellect makes discernment. All the predicaments of the world is your selection. When you select, you get attached with it. Predicament will continue till you are attached with the subject. The moment you detach yourself from the subject, your predicament is over. In fact the intelligence is to control the mind. But the mind has mostly so habituated that it opts on its own, before the intellect makes selection. Intellct takes decision from among the past data of same occasions. When new subject comes for which there is no past data to rely upon, you will feel a shock for a while and soon you find that your gear is changed, you have referred the matter to intuition, where you will decide the matter as per your intuition. Intellect means arrangement to commit same mistakes again. Sometimes the mind takes the decision and then asks the intellect to rationalize that decision, or to provide logical reasons to regularize the decision post facto. Parmatma has given the faculty of intellect to guide the mind in the Realisation of God, but here I shall cite some examples, how we have misutilised it! Our intellect adopted the contraceptive measure to control the population. But nature has inbuilt mechanism to keep checks and balances. But our lack of knowledge and overflow of intellect trusted not the nature and adopted the contraceptive measures; the result is nature has to increase the age of men to maintain the equilibrium of the system. Now it is very grave enigma of Japan and some other countries where the average age of its citizens has increased to more than 80 years. We cut the forests to accommodate the population and increase the industrialization, which mal affected the rain chain and recurrence of famine is rampant in many countries of the world. Intellect has not left the religion untouched. People believe that doing something uncommon from the rest of the people is religion. So if you stand on your feet, then the religious people started to stand on the head. If you are eating three times, religious is one who doesn’t eat at all or one who doesn’t eat Onion, Alu, Garlic, etc. People takes note of those who are doing some queer things. If you wear multi colour apparels, then the religious is one who wears the saffron only. Your intellect recognise religious man as one who gets up at 3am, who keeps fast. Who doesn’t look at the woman, who doesn’t go to view the movie, who does long Tilak, wears fanciful garlands, etc. But people fail to understand that outward appearances has nothing to do with the religion. You take satisfaction in being disciple of such big fool, who know nothing about religion. You certify a pretender as Mahatma, looking to his outward appearances. People who have improved only in outward appearances, but have developed nothing within, are great fool. And for you these great hypocrites are proven Pundits. This is all the game played by the intellect. You are culprit who incites the people to become hypocrites. You spoil not only your life, but you spoil the lives of such Pundits also. Parmatma has given you intellect to uncover the God residing in each one’s heart. But you have misused your intellect to appoint a hypocrite as a God. This is misuse of the asset, Parmatma has given to you, and not only Pundit but you will be also held responsible for that misuse. हरिः ॐ तत् सत् ।
