34 years ago on this day while ill with pneumonia and in the hospital, my phone rang. It was my dear friend Denis Denholm, with anguish in his voice and urging me to turn on the television, he simply said: Susi, John Lennon is dead. I still recall the instant pain and horror this brought upon me, as I tried to find the remote and switched on the tv, while bargaining with the Almighty that surely this could NOT be so. Sadly, it was. RIP John! You were different in a world where differences are sometimes maligned and vilified. You MADE a difference, with your wonderful karma, your positive outlook, your belief in PEACE as the ultimate weapon, and your legacy of timeless music. I shall never forget you!!
