4 clubs in the running to sign Mario Gómez German tabloid newspaper Bild have exclusively revealed that four clubs remain in the running to sign Bayern Munich star Mario Gómez. Atlético Madrid, Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City are the final four teams in the running to sign the 27-year old striker. The 58-time German international has been linked to a number of clubs this summer after losing his starting position to Mario Mandzukic at the Allianz Arena. Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has been strongly linked with a move to Munich this summer also. His agent Uli Ferber has given Fiorentina an ultimatum to sign Gómez within a week or withdraw their offer. On Tuesday, Mario Gómez will meet with his agent Ferber again to discuss to prospective move to either of the four teams that are interested in him. Bayern Munich begin their pre-season training on 26 June and have given their striker 10 days to work out a deal with a prospective buyer. Mario Gómez started just 9 Bundesliga and 2 Champions League games for Bayern Munich in 2012-13, with a further 17 substitute appearances in those two competitions combined. In the UEFA Champions League final, Gómez only entered the field in stoppage time. The previous season, the German international striker had been a regular for FCB, scoring 41 goals in all competitions. As of 1 July, Pep Guardiola will replace Jupp Heynckes as the head coach of the treble winners.
