59 Manipuri athletes in Asiad MU NEWS/IMPHAL, Sep 20 : A total of 59 sports persons including 6 coaches/officials from Manipur will be joining in India’s 679 strong contingents against 609 athletes in Guangjhou (2010) in the 17th Edition of Asian Games slated for September 19-October 4 at Incheon, South Korea. The Indian Olympic Association had sent a list of 942 participants, including 662 athletes and 280 officials. India will be participating in a total of 28 disciplines as against 35 last time. People of Manipur are expecting a better performance by the state players in their respective games.
