7th December, 2014. PRESS RELEASE: THE NDC MUST STOP USING STATE SECURITY TO PROTECT ITS STINKING RECORDS. It has come to the notice of the Eastern Regional Youth Wing of New Patriotic Party (NPP) that one of our Constituency Youth Organizers, Abubakar Alhassan a.k.a Bee Wassa of the New Juaben South Constituency was invited by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for commenting on issues affecting the good people of Ghana on Facebook. When the news broke, some of us thought it was the joke of the century.... since when did the BNI start inviting people for exercising their fundamental rights to free speech. Does the BNI lenses only capture posts and comments from only NPP sympathizers? Where was the BNI when the NDC turned Ghanas VVIP Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport into a thoroughfare for cocaine smuggling? Instead of working towards their mandate of providing the much needed security expected by the citizens of this country whose taxes are used to pay them, they are rather “lazying” around and dabbling in political witch hunting. For the avoidance of doubt, the Eastern Regional Youth Wing and for that matter the New Patriotic Party will like to state emphatically that we will under no circumstance tolerate any intimidating tactics employed by the NDC through some coward and dishonorable officials of state institutions who ought to know better. We shall resist oppressors rule as our national anthem enjoins us to do in order to safeguard the future and integrity of our dear nation. Ghana belongs to all of us, all Ghanaians deserve equal rights and justice and so does our colleague Patriot.
