#812 Going home to my kids lately felt like the hardest thing to do. More especially because Junior would give me those sad looks everytime I had to read a bed time story for them and not their father. I was just glad that he had stopped asking me about him. As the days went, I found it only logic to let Luyolos parents know what happened to their son. Zukie being the easiest person to talk to, I spoke to her. She was upset as to why I didnt let them know earlier, not that they would do anything to change the situation, but she believed I needed support from the begining and with that said, she promised to come to Port Elizabeth with Noyolo. Buhle would get left with her father in Durban and I actually prefered it that way. I had also went shopping for Junior. Buying a school bag and stationery aswell, it was an exciting experience and how I wished Luyolo was around, Im sure he would be so proud of his Junior. Anyway, my son seemed nervous as the days were getting closer, he constantly asked kengok mama ndizahlala nabanye abantwana? and that question made me realise just how important it was for the kids to have friends around the neighbourhood and get to understand each other as kids of the same age group. Well there was nothing that could be done now but I hoped he would be fine... Schools opened on Wednesday. I woke up early to prepare for me aswell as my son. He was awake already, on his knees. I went to kneel next to him and joined in the small prayer. When we were finished, he looked at me and smiled. Me:mntanam, ulale kakuhle? Him:ewe mama, wena? Me:nam ndoda. I kissed his forehead. Him:lets bath kalok, I dont want to be late. Me:0kay iza ke. I went to run him a warm bath then helped in undress and left him to bath while I went to make his bed, ndakhupha impahla zakhe. He came out after a while, I helped him get ready then combed his afro. Him:andizungxoliswa ngenwele? Me:ufuna ucheba wena? Him:hayi, kalok ndifuna ufana notatam. Me:undixelele if khe wangxoliswa. He nodded. Me:breakfast ne? Him:ewe! We went to the kitchen and I made us breakfast quickly, satya while having small talk. When we were done, I put our plates in the sink. Me:hambo vasa amazinyo ke ndoda, I have to take a bath. Him:0kay. He disappeared into his room and I went to bath, ndanxiba nam. I did my hair and took my things. SisGloria arrived. Her:molweni sisi. Me:hey ma, unjani? Her:ndiright, nina? Me:no we good. Junior ran in the kitchen. Junior:lunch box yam mama! Me:0h yeah! SisGloria:ndizayenza sisi. Ayisentle indoda. Junior:enkosi makhulu. Me:hambo thatha ibag yakho ke boy. He went to get his bag, sisGloria made lunch for him quickly. I put it in his bag. Me:utya xa kutshiwo yeva? Him:but xa ndilambile mna? Me:kalok uzaba patient Junior, ulinde like the other kids. He nodded. Me:if kukhona umntana ohleli naye, dont forget to share. Him:everything? Me:yes. Him:0kay and I must pray before I eat. I smiled. Me:ewe Bhedlaelihle. Him:got it mama. Me:0kay, go say bye to the triplets ke so we can go. Him:hayi Ill be late. Bye kids! He yelled the last part. SisGloria and I laughed then ndathatha izinto zam, saphuma. I buckled him up and Wesley escorted us to Juniors school first. I parked outside the gate and we went in. I started at the front office with Wesley to explain that he would be the one to collect him in the afternoon then I stood with Junior outside. He held on to my hand tightly. Me:Junior hamba kalok ngoku ndoda. Him:uzandishiya wena? Me:ewe, kukhona abantwana qha apha. Yabona balingana nawe bonke? He nodded. Me:ewe ke so uzafumana ichommie apha. A small girl walked past. Him:nalona? Me:ewe. Him:hey!! He screamed. The girl turned to look at us. Him:wait for me please. She nodded. Me:thats my boy. Enjoy your day yeva? Him:you too mama. I bent down and hugged him then watched him run to the little girl. They walked towards the classes, I turned back and went to work....
