99% of the medical community is worthless these days...I see it, and experience it, all the time. Gennas tooth broke, and shes got an appointment tomorrow to get it pulled... however, the pain has gotten unbearable. So, she went to the ER this morning, hoping to get some sort of pain medication..just enough to get her through until tomorrow. So, the doctor decided it wasnt that bad (half her tooth is GONE, and her jaw is swollen)..and gave her 400 mg ibuprofen (shes already been taking 800 mg at home), and told her to schedule a cleaning. WTF? Her discharge papers say toothache. But the real peach was her nurse...with the acrylic nails like Beth, from Dog the Bounty Hunter, who didnt even want to look in her mouth. When I worked as a nurse tech, nails like that were forbidden. And being grossed out wasnt an option either. And, as for the doctor, uh, how about you take things on a case by case basis? Stop thinking every young person, or poor person, or single woman, is a drug-seeking POS (or whore)?? Granted, there are some out there, but its not fair to lump everyone into that negative demographic! If you arent going to take your Hippocratic Oath seriously, dont effing get into medicine!
