(YLF) is a leadership Non-Governmental Organization for young people aspiring to be good leaders for future leadership. YLF is aimed equipping Young people of quality character with an entrepreneurial spirit of inventors, innovators and job creators for national development and stability. The organization, YLF is to make people (LEADERS) to become active citizens. YLF will help produce confident, law abiding, responsible, courteous and kind citizens for national development and stability. At Young Leaders Forum, we intend to boast of the best hands in leadership in any guise or field. A dedicated management leader’s team and an innovative workforce committed to ensuring that in all we do, we should be the best and fear God. YLF VISION Building people (LEADES) for future leadership in all professions. YLF AIM To be the leading leadership organization for nation building. YLF OBJECTIVES 1. Organizing weekly intensive seminars to inspire young people to become good and credible leaders in all professions 2. Visiting of orphanage homes in equipping them to be broad, sound and ethical like their fellow citizens outside and exercising love, care and shelter to them in making them experience a better and happy life. 3. Visiting schools: YLF will embark on visiting of schools (Secondary and Tertiary institutes) to broadly assist in teaching and motivating the students to become good and active citizens with an entrepreneurial spirit that will produce inventors, innovators and job creators that will bring national development and stability to our great nation, Nigeria. 4. Visiting prison cells: We will as well embark on re-orientating prisoners to become good and active citizens of their country when they are released and to be tasked with the development of their country. We will broaden their mindsets by teaching them leadership skills and equip them with talents that could make them entrepreneurs after they are released which will make them active citizens and exercise good character that will develop our nation. 5. YLF will embark on addressing critical issues that faces us as individuals and as a country. This aspect will bring us into discussions that will help youths, parents and children in digging deep into correcting their wrongs and walking in full understanding of abiding by the laws of our country which will develop our country and bring stability to our nation. YLF MISSION STATEMENT To become good and responsible leaders that will lead and transform Nigeria for the benefit of all towards good leadership for national development and stability. WHY YLF It has been discovered globally that the problem of Nigeria as a country is leadership. Leadership not just by political leaders alone leading the nation, but by the followers (Masses) in the nation. We are all leaders in any kind, some are just privileged to be at the fore-front of leadership to serve. But what do we (political, religious leaders and masses) do in our leadership positions. • Politicians embezzling national or state funds meant for national development. • Pastors/Imams extorting members or leading them against the growth and stability of the nation by religious uprising. E.g. Boko Haram, Jamb, Niger Delta militants, etc. • Traditional Rulers extorting their community and subjects by forcefully taking their properties. • Masses destroying development coming from our political, religious and traditional leaders. E.g. dumping of refuse on the road, illegal tapping of electricity, fuel attendants readjusting fuel pumps to make extra money, young people going into fraudulent business, etc. In all, we all as leaders in one field or the other have defiled the true meaning and character of leadership. The masses are as worst as the political, social or religious leaders. It’s the act of not understanding the leadership role and character we possess that makes us all defile the character and role of a leader. YLF being a leadership organization, is here to solve that problem in our nation by building up people in the right part of leadership, be it at the top or at any level through a broad extensive teaching of Relevant Material Publication (RMP) and library research in breaking limits towards succeeding in individual passion for profession. Our aim is not to accuse people or criticize people but our aim is to re-orientate the good people of our great Nation Nigeria especially the youths. Hence, YLF will help build a base for citizens to be moral, courteous, kind, law-abiding which will unite us in strength for the development of Nigeria. This will help the government achieve her dividends of democracy and re-define our mother name “NIGERIA” globally and put a stop to corruption and corrupt practices by Nigerians. YLF TARGET YLF is targeting to reach out to forty million (40, 000, 000) youths that will be brought up in the character and mind of a leader irrespective of his/her position in the society either as a political leader, a religious leader (pastor, imam), traditional rulers, masses (bankers, lawyers, students, etc.). If we reach out to and rebrand 40, 000, 000 Nigerians with and entrepreneurial spirit of inventors, innovators and job creators for national development and stability, Nigeria will change for the better and would give Nigeria as a nation the opportunity to harness world power. HOW WE INTEND TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL 1. YLF will achieve this goal by embarking on a weekly innovative leadership seminar that will be to build members or attendees to be good leaders in the society. 2. We will also embark on adequate constant publicity to attract the general public to be part of us to learn to be a good leader through our website, Facebook page, bulk SMS, hand bills, bill board adverts, radio publications, TV interviews, magazine production, etc. 3. We will also be having entrepreneur training, this will go a long way to drastically reduce unemployment in our society and will create more jobs with good leaders WHO YLF IS MEANT FOR YLF as a leadership organization aimed at building citizens of Nigeria for future leadership at all levels is opened to all citizens of the nation prepared for a change for a better nation through them irrespective of ethnic, political or religious views.
