A Happy Country Miss South Africa did us proud. Is it fair to her and to us to start talking race? I dont think so. Why not look at her confidence? Intelligence? Humility? Charm? Race talk is unfair to all her other wonderful characteristics. White is her pigmentation (as politically defined many moons ago) and she must not be held hostage because of it. She is as South African as you and I are. I know its hard for some to think beyond colour and such people I forgive because imagine trying to convince a lion to eat vegetables. Impossible. Non-racialism or diversity means that we actually go against the norm in order to forge a new culture. The same should happen here, we owe Ms Strauss our gratitude and respect. Lets be happy beyond race......its possible to be happy even if youre racist.....try it! #ProudlySouthAfrican
