A Letter To Every Doctor In The UK. Dear Doctors, We are in the midst of a revolution, a REBELLION against the low-fat model of health and weight loss. For many decades the government, health authorities and doctors have prescribed a diet low in fat... Avoid butter. Choose margarine. Stop eating avocados. Snack on crackers. Dont eat too many eggs. Choose cereals for breakfast. For many years myself and other personal trainers have known that this advice was quite simply WRONG. Maybe it has something to with the fact that we eat butter, avocados and eggs, and we can out run, out lift, out pretty much anything physical than most people. In spite of our fatty diets. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we analyse the diets of so many obese people, and observe a diet devoid of natural fats, yet packed with processed foods, cereals and sugars. Either way. We were right. You were wrong. Now before this turns into a big We told you so... Which doctors out there are brave enough, and honest enough, to admit they got it wrong? This guys has >> goo.gl/XjP9Er These guys have >> goo.gl/5uMPyi On January 29 of this year, I wrote to Dr Susan Jebb on this very page about the incorrect advice on fats given by the slimming industry (mentioning no names) and she out and out defended them. See her responses here >> goo.gl/QNBbtL So Ive had more than my fair share of battles with doctors, both personally and professionally, telling both me and my clients to swap real food for processed, low-fat, low-calorie alternatives. When will this poor advice stop? And are there any other doctors out there who are prepared to join the rebellion against the low-fat diet? Yours sincerely Liam rebelfit.co.uk
