A.M.P. Advancing the Missions with Prayer Youth Group from Christ Center Community Church prepare for their Missions trip during S.O.S. (Summer of Service). Various Pictures shown here Helping at the Local Homeless Shelter, Various Jobs at Christ Center Community Church by Painting Walls, Refinishing Tables & Laying Rock in the Amphitheater (which provides the double meaning for youth group name ;) Community Service Projects such as Working at Rocky Mountain National Park, Assisting with Flood Relief, Teaching Vacation Bible School to local children as well as leading and participating in Worship. Participating in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Process for 6 HOURS!! It was REALLY FUN & fast!! :) Some pictures show the group Working Hard but Hardly Working as tight friendships and team building is a big part of preparing for a Missions Trip. Retreats, Parties, St. Pattys Day Scavenger Hunts, Game Night and Hang out time bond the team together. All the while Fundraising through local Restaurants such as Chick-Fil-A, Texas Road House, and wrapping Christmas gifts, helping families move, working odd jobs such as washing windows and cleaning houses. Church Yard Sales especially when Monsoon rains occur ;) along with self sacrifice such as giving up going to the movies with friends or selling personal belongings show that these Youth truly allow GODs Heart & Word to SHINE through them. Much MUCH gratitude to our fearless, or is it fearful ?? ;) Youth Leader Erin Foster who has blessed our family while our 2 sons have grown (and grown and grown ;) LOL ) from boys into God Loving Young Men! :) Proud Mom & Dad!!
