A REASON TO REJOICE I know that many of you who are friends and family have followed my journey since I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in September, 2012. Since then, each year when I return to the US I keep 3 doctor’s appointments. I get a completed physical examination at my Family doctor’s office. I also go see the oncology urologist who handled my treatment and then I see my personal Urologist. My family doctor is concerned about my weight gain (I really did not need him to tell me, because I could feel it) So he has me walking about 30 minutes each day and I have been adding to it. In two weeks I could feel the difference. The Oncologist was very pleased with the way things are, my PSA’s are 0.1 (The lowest you could have) this is from a pre-treatment high of 5.8 and her examinations showed no growths or enlargements. Those two had me feeling really good. Then last Monday, I went to see my Urologist. I was expecting to get an injection to continue my treatment. They have really sophisticated machines they use to check one’s prostate, PSA’s and kidney functions. I was on “cloud nine” when he said to me, “Well, Billy, there is no trace of cancer in your system, your PSA’s are 0.1 and your kidney functions are excellent. I love it when a plan comes together like that!” To which I relied, “Praise the Lord, Doc!” I did not have to get an injection because the treatment is deemed successful! I was walking on air and just praising the Lord all the way to the car, and all the way home. My granddaughter had gone with me, she was so thrilled when I told her I did not even get an injection (She does not like them). Thank you God for taking care of me, and thank you all who have kept me in your prayers. Now you see why my previous post declared my absolute faith in God’s grace and mercy! My cancer was discovered because I went to get a physical for eye surgery. The treatment and its side-effects were not easy, but it has done its job and today I am cancer-free! GOD IS GOOD-PRAISE HIM!
