A WORD TO THE WISE: Check your credit cards charges carefully! I got an alert today from Capital One about an international transaction. (I have that type of transaction flagged for alerts via e-mail). It was to a company called PURECLEAN in the amount of $49.95, charged yesterday. I called Cap One, but there was no ph. no. or address listed w/ that charge for me to contact. So I did some googleing and found that there are a lot of complaints of this unknown charge on the Net. Its a scam originating in South Korea. Im cancelling that account, getting new cards issued under a new cc number! GO CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS! (Incidentally, I have LifeLock, but they apparently havent caught it yet! Yay ME! ;) )
