A beautiful woman told me her story and it sounded like a Lifetime Movie -- had me thinking. Since this is not the first story of its kinds that I have heard... with examples of a long term marriage/partnership with hidden skeletons that are uncovered and shake up the whole family dynamic. WOMEN - especially stay at home moms..... you never know what pandoras box will uncover, it just may unravel your happy Home. I learned to be independent at a very young age because I had to. No one modeled a father taking care of all the monetary things in the house for me. I can now see that was a gift. I encourage every woman/mother I know to empower themselves by creating their own income. The most empowering thing a woman can do is create her OWN income. Not that I believe that we should do it alone - raise our kids, be the main provider, etc. What I am saying to you is dont let yourself ever be put in the position where you are making choices that dont serve you or your children, because you havent solidified your OWN income. You can start slow, you can start small. But please get started TODAY.I am happily married, and I can bring in my own cheese. Thats empowering. I believe that any marriage and partnership can be even stronger when co-dependency based on money is removed. Said with love... Your thoughts?
