A big THANK YOU to all the folks who bought ribeye sandwiches from the Limestone County Cattlemens Association today. We presold 902 sandwiches!! John Curtis was kind to let us set up at the Co-op, and his great employees were so helpful when we needed them. All the meat came from the Elkmont Piggly Wiggly, and was cut by Wain Wilbanks. We have bought thousands of ribeyes from there over the years, and have never had any meat that was not absolutely mouth watering. Our directors, and their wives, worked hard to cook and put all the sandwiches together. There were a few times when we had a line, but not often. We appreciated the patience shown by those who did stand in line. This wraps up our sandwich sales for the year. If you didnt get a sandwich today, or at Fiddlers, you missed out on some fine eating! I will add you to my call list, if you would like to get in on our sale in the Spring. Thanks, again, for helping us celebrate October Is Beef Month. We will end Beef Month with the Beef Cook-Off for junior high and high school students, held at Athens High School. These kids can really cook!!
