A boarding school was attacked by Boko Haram at 3.00am this morning in Yobe state, north eastern Nigeria. They slaughtered no less than 29 children and one of their teacher though, according to the BBC, the numbers could even be higher than that. They also maimed and wounded many more. Yobe is one of the states which is under a State of Emergency yet these atrocities just continue. What are the military doing? When will our government take far more proactive and aggressive measures against the islamists and wipe out this scourge? I condemn these attacks by Boko Haram in the strongest terms and I pray that sanity and law and order is restored in northern Nigeria. These were just innocent children. May their souls rest in peace.
