A classic is something that withstands the test of time. For a number of years, I would read excerpts of Mario Cuomos 1984 keynote speech, to me the greatest speech I have heard in my lifetime to date, to middle schoolers and ask them when the speech was delivered. Of course, most thought it was current day. Cuomos speech in its words and delivery is truly a classic...that the content of it has withstood the test of time though is truly sad, even shameful. https://youtube/watch?v=kOdIqKsv624
