A couple of nights ago there was a home invasion where the victim was an 89 year old man. These misguided gentle souls, who undoubtedly were changing their lives took the old fellas television. A few members of the Worcester Police midnight shift collected some cash and bought the elderly man a new TV. Not for fame, not to change public opinion, not for promotion or favoritism, but because it was the right thing to do. This is not the first time I heard of, or witnessed such generosity coming from the police, but it certainly filled my soul with pride and appreciation for the men and women I work with, day in and day out. Keep fighting the good fight because good people know who you are and what you do. The others, well, they can go....(insert your opinion)
