A few weeks ago we were able to make a visit to the Peregrine Falcon eyrie on Snow Creek Wall to collect egg shell fragments and remnants of prey. A very interesting trip brought back a few eggshell fragments and several bones and prey remnants. The most interesting item found? The bones of a small fish! This was most likely taken from an Osprey in the area. Samples were brought back to our district Wildlife Bio Tech. It appears that we had a successful season with this pair of falcons! Thanks for respecting the area closures in the spring to help protect these birds!
