A former Surrey Police chief inspector has been jailed for a series of fraud offences targeting high street stores. Tanya Brookes was condemned by a judge for bringing shame on the police service, using her position to con shops and businesses out of thousands of pounds. She was convicted of more than 30 counts of fraud, in total, and jailed for two-and-a-half years at Winchester Crown Court. More on tonights South Today.
