A little article that I have been working on. Gun Control Is A Good Thing, Right? Do you want to live in a land, kingdom, country, or nation that the government in said territories has the right to A. evict you from your house and property B. Pass judgement without trial and punishments, such as execution on site C. Have legal authority to imprison without questioning and render unfair sentencing (which it is already unfair)? If your answer was HELL NO then I suggest you keep in mind that our government is trying to take away our right to gun ownership. They want to disarm us, that way, when they throw their weight around, we have nothing to protect ourselves from the government with. Here is a little history lesson for you.. (thanks Mr. Marvin Guillot) Our Bill Of Rights was written with some of the English laws in mind, one of them being the English Bill of Rights, in which the right to bear arms was constituted in English territories as a limit to the power of the King to govern without consent. It was instituted so the English ppl could arm themselves if ever their government got out of control with the ppl. United States of America Bill Of Rights From Wikipedia.. As passed by the Congress and preserved in the National Archives:[29] A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Now what does that tell us about a government that is trying to disarm its ppl? It tells us that they want us defenseless against THEM first and foremost. And then the bad guys... bad guys get to have guns too. America was predominately built and formed by slaves and people who had been booted out of England. Not all of the founding fathers were of that persuasion however, there were undesirables of all national origins and social statuses. British government used this land, America, to build prisons and camps for criminals and slaves. Slaves being Native American, African, Chinese, Japanese, Irish... Now, thats the history lesson... This is who we are people. We are descendants of this dysfunctional bunch of people, whether we choose to admit it or not. And if they couldnt, wouldnt and didnt put up with a government ran in tyranny, how long does this government think the American people of today will allow our rights to be infringed? Again, if your answer was No you dont want to live in a country like the one in questioning, you better fight for your right to party (Beastie Boys had a point). You better call every congressman, write every senator, bother the hell out of every politician on the ballot that has anything to do with this issue. Or you could be the person yanked out of bed at 2 in the morning, by gunpoint, thrown out of your house, along with your spouse and children, house burned to the ground, all assests seized, (such as farmers and oil tycoons with the big money, this could happen to them, but it can happen to anyone of us) thrown in concentration camps, and made to serve a Dictator. I read an article the other day that had this quote in it: This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future! — Adolf Hitler, 1935 Think about gun control laws now.... The military and law enforcement agencies and bad guys will be the only people allowed to own a weapon if we do not stand up for our RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS... And you can believe that somewhere in Washington, right now as you read this, there is some A-hole trying to get it where YOU, even you wont be able to carry a gun. Think about it..
