A lot of the comments under here are from people who think we shouldnt help kids outside of the US. It makes me so sad to see so many people insistent that no one should donate any time or resources outside of the United States. Here are some of my reasons: 1) contrary to popular belief, the earth revolves around the sun, not around the United States of America. Theres a whole lot more much less fortunate earth out there than what you will find here. 2) these kids are growing up with basically nothing in a war torn country; despised by many automatically because of where they were born. They live in constant real danger that american children rarely have to think about; be grateful that your kids dont have to worry. 3) our passions are gifts from Christ which lead us to do great things both for the nation and for the world. Our distinct and separate passions lead us to help in different ways, all of which are important, and lead to the greater good.
