A man turned north when he should have gone south. As he drove - TopicsExpress

A man turned north when he should have gone south. As he drove along, he saw small patches of snow and a little black ice, but he ignored those little warnings. Before long, he was in a blizzard, high in the Sierra Mountains without gas or food and unable to see. Like this man, who admittedly ignored the warning signs, many people do the same—whether it is ignoring their retirement, their health, or their eternal welfare. At the end of Revelation, John the writer makes several statements that should be warnings to us. He records Jesus as saying, “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the eternal city and to eat the fruit from the tree of life.” Later he says, “The Spirit and the bride say come. Let anyone who hears this say come. Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone come who desires to drink freely from the water of life.” John wrote these words 2,000 years ago and they remain true. Jesus Christ will come and can come at any time God chooses. The critical question is whether we will be ready by placing our faith in Him. Even if Jesus does not come during our lifetime, He will one day judge everyone. And no one can miss that appointment.
