A message to Expo volunteers (& those who may want to volunteer) from Expo Executive Director, Jana Filip: Greetings! As we approach our 10th annual U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, January 16–19, 2014, it is also a time to reflect upon those that made the first nine events such a success. Our gratitude is extended to our many dedicated Volunteers that make the Expo happen each year, folks like yourself that give freely of your time and energy. We are now over 250 Volunteers strong. Our annual event has grown in attendance and in exhibitors since our inception in 2004. Expo 2013 had over 17,000 attendees with 150 exhibits on display during the wet ‘n cloudy ’13 four-day event. By volunteering for the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, you are helping to stimulate our local economy, boost tourist development, and showcase Highlands County. On behalf of the Sebring Airport Authority and the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, we genuinely appreciate your efforts. With some added features for Expo 2014, we anticipate our attendance to exceed 20,000. Please bring friends to our Volunteer Registration Meeting. New Volunteers always welcome! Our annual Volunteer Registration Meeting will be Thursday, December 5, 2013. The meeting will again be held at the Sebring Civic Center and will begin at 6:00pm. The Sebring Civic Center is located at 355 W. Center Avenue, Sebring, FL 33870, behind the Sebring Library. We will get reacquainted, update you on Expo happenings since last we were together, introduce the Volunteer Team Leaders, sign up for shifts to work at Expo 2014, and enjoy lights snacks.
