A mixed run on form over the last 10 games has seen my Notts County side drop from 6th to 12th with a 3rd of the season remaining. We managed 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats. The lack of depth in my squad showed over the Christmas period where we lost 3 of the 4 matches that we played. Rory Donnelly also went on a little goal drought and nobody stepped up when we needed them to. Our FA Cup involvement ended at the 1st hurdle when my knackered team lost 4-0 to a strong Everton team at Goodison Park. In the January transfer window, we added 3 new faces to the squad. Adrian Ortola agreed a pre-contract with us before we paid our first transfer fee of £150k to bring him to the club early. Max Gradel arrived on a free after he was released by Saint Etienne last season and Gael Bigirimana joined us on loan from Newcastle for the rest of the season.
