A revival of Christianity took place in the Welsh municipality of the Great Britain in 1904-6. Thousands came to faith in Christ Jesus. This revival was not without its critics, but as people look back, many accept that a mighty work of grace was wrought among the Welsh people. This revival was the seed from which the greatest worldwide missionary endeavour was born. Many converts from the hill country of Wales travelled far and wide as missionaries, teachers and doctors. In 1930, one Welsh missionary doctor working in the rural eastern part of Zambia delivered a baby girl on 16 October. Few years before that he had delivered her eldest brother who was named, Macsen (Welsh for the Latin Maximus). Happy birthday mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
