A thought for this morning from this couple of verses: 2 Cor 3:16-17 - But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. NIV When we turn to God, and become a saved person, the veil, whatever it is that obscures truth in our lives, is lifted and we can connect with God directly through the Holy Spirit. At this point we have freedom available to us. However so many of us have a kind of spiritual "Stockholm Syndrome" where we refuse to leave our previous slavery or bondages and claim true freedom. We are often saved but not free, and it by our own choices. We must turn to God and humbly ask him to remove our defects of character, the things which still trap us, so that we can ennjoy the promised freedom.
