A wonderful review from the very brave grandparents that bought their little grandchildren along for a 3 night stay at Barcoos. We took our 3 grandchildren aged 3,5 & 6 and stayed in the Wardell Farm House which was perfect for us. The children had so much fun and thoroughly enjoyed getting into the farm activities. Elaine and Farmer Ken are hands on and happy to encourage the children to try everything. They fed chickens, collected eggs, loved the pony rides and brushing the ponies, and bottle feeding Jane the lamb was eagerly done twice a day. So many new activities for city children to enjoy, and riding on Bella the draught horse, with Ruby the dog, and helping Farmer Ken ‘drive’ his huge tractor were definite highlights. Elaine is so patient with the children, showing them how to milk the cow, how to look after a new calf who needed lots of cuddles, and taking them on sulky rides and out in the ute & trailer to feed the cows, etc. We all had a fabulous time and the children are asking to come back. Our 3yr old granddaughter cried when it was time to go home, she wanted to take the lamb with her… Thanks so much Elaine & Ken for your hospitality and kindness. Robyn & Mike and children.
