A year ago today was the scariest day of my life. I will never forget hearing Clint screaming “Daniel is having a seizure.” I remember looking at Melissa Lasater and saying “Daniel doesn’t have seizures. He just breaks bones.” All doctors cleared my baby and said it was a one time isolated incident. I didn’t understand it then and I don’t understand it now, but my boy is here with us and that is all that matters. I will never be the same – I do know that. My Clint was a rock that day. I was a mess. Melissa Lasater became an even better friend that day – you forge a strange bond when your children experience something together that was just plain scary. We will have a do-over my friend!!!
