ABACO CONVERT.............yesterday, I met a young man in his thirties. He is from Abaco. He told me a little about his life. He said, Miss, I was a bad boy...a drug dealer, running guns. A relative was always pestering him to come to church. One day he showed up at church, just to get the relative off his back. He sat at the back of the church. When the altar call was made, he found himself at the front of church weeping uncontrollably. He said that he doesnt know how he got to the altar. That was the beginning of his walk with God. A short time after that, he heard the audible voice of God telling him to read the Bible. He said, Lord, you know i dont know how to read. How can I read the Bible? He said the voice insisted that he should read the Bible. He opened the Bible and immediately he fully understood the verses. This young man explained to me that he reads the Bible every day, but he cannot read any other book, only the Bible; and he cannot write. On documents he has to write an X. I find this amazing. And what i also found amazing is the amount of Scripture this young man has memorized, and the deep insights he shares on the Scripture. You sense there is something very special going on in the life of this young man. I told him that he should get a tutor to teach him how to read so that he can read other books, the newspaper and the internet. He had a very humble attitude. He said that he will look into it.
