ACBC raises $5500 for Cancer Research at Australias Biggest Morning Tea! Cancer Research is the winner after ACBC Biggest Morning Teas! A big “Thank You” to all of our students and staff who participated in our fundraising day for the Biggest Morning Tea. What a great effort! We raised $2790 across the three campuses, which is amazing! ACBC will match this dollar for dollar, and so we are sending off over $5500 for cancer research. There are so many worthy charities that operate in our communities, but the college actively promotes two each year. These are the Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer research and Jeans for Genes Day for Children’s Medical Research. We have chosen to support these as most of our ACBC family of students and staff will be touched by cancer and children’s illnesses at some stage in their life. Everyone did a great job with the Biggest Morning Tea, but a special mention must go to our smallest campus Wollongong, who raised the most by collecting $1050.00. Well done Team Wollongong! Remember that part of being an active citizen in your community is finding a way to ‘give back’. We are delighted that our staff and students embrace these fundraising opportunities to do just that.
