ADOPTION MATCHING GRANT DETAILS!!! Dear Family and Friends, Some of you know we have felt called by God to adopt a child into our family. He has brought us a little girl from Arizona. As a family, we’ve been excitedly praying for this little one! Karen is bonding with the baby, who was born at 28 weeks (3 lbs. 3 oz.) Karen is holding her for hours every day which is helping her gain weight and she is already up to 4.5 pounds. Please pray for continued growth for the baby and for rest for Karen as this is a critical time for both of them. There are over 147 million orphans worldwide and 120,000 children currently in the U.S. foster care system. It is estimated that less than 10 percent of these children are adopted into evangelical Christian families. We’ve been so blessed by the generous gifts from our supporters, but there are still financial needs to be met. The estimated total cost for the adoption is $30,000. That’s certainly money we don’t have yet, but God is faithful and is leading us to trust Him. We are so excited because...Lifesong for Orphans has committed an Adoption Matching Grant of $1500 to help pay our adoption expenses.
