ALERT: As first reported by HCS Media Network Friday evening on Twitter, Hanover two-sport star Jalen Elliott has announced he has transferred to attend L.C. Bird High School in Chester. Elliott, a sophomore, informed HCS of this development on Friday. He was a First-Team All-Conference 20 selection in boys basketball this season, leading the Hawks in scoring and to the Conference 20 regular season title. The Hawks advanced to the 4A South Regionals where they lost in the quarterfinals. Elliott, who also played wide receiver, running back and occasionally some quarterback for Hanovers playoff football team in 2013, will join an already formidable lineup on L.C. Birds basketball team. Adding Elliott to Kenny Williams, C.J. Miles, Malik Johnson and Thomas Taylor creates a potential starting lineup that could see the Skyhawks contending for a 5A South Region and possibly state championship in 2015.
