AMEN! I have heard the word anointing used so loosely I dont think we know what that word really means. we say that person is anointed because something that person did or said or because how well they speak or sing or because some weird things they do or the fact they have a charismatic personality. but when i see one who is truly anointed i see mockery, hardship, violence, rejection and murder that follow those who God had anointed to preach his message and walk in his ways. Just ask Jesus or his disciples. But The Lord blesses those who accept the cost of being anointed. So true anointing is speaking truth, living selflessly, walking in Gods ways in his power and Spirit and most of all allowing His Love to be seen through us. Jesus who is called the Messiah which means the anointed One is are one true example of true anointing. His anointing caused anger and hatred towards him because it exposed sin and they didnt like that but there was those who came broken and humble and repented. so if your anointing isnt being followed by these things maybe its time to ask The Lord Jesus for His anointing. I know I for one need it. The first step is a broken and contrite heart, that He does not despise. May we all come to Him on his terms.
