ANOTHER ARMCO HERO, BROTHER AND FRIEND HAS PASSED AWAY: Donald Edward Allen 1936 - 2014 Donald Edward Allen, 77, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Donald was born September 25, 1936 in Warnock, Kentucky a son of the late Ernest Edward Ned and Mary Magdalene Maggie Boggs Allen. He was retired from AK Steel in Ashland, Kentucky He was a United States Marine Veteran He was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #350 and a member of the Greenbo Detachment Marine League. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons Darren Scott Allen Danny Edward Allen 1 sister Lois Arlene Allen He is survived by His wife of 57 years Laura Donese Terry Allen 3 daughters Donna D. (James) Fields St. Petersburg, FL Diva E. (Mark) Justice Ashland, KY Nedra D. (Rocky) Jamison Garrison, KY 1 brother Ronald Eugene (Joy) Allen Kenansville, FL Grandchildren 10 1. Rachelle Biehle 6. Chelsea Wallis 2. Alicia Allen-Vannatta 7. Laura Bradford 3. Adam Justice 8. Brooke Pagan-Hermina 4. Brittany Jamison 9. Abigail Jamison 5. Danielle Wesolowski 10. Tyler Fields Great-grandchildren 18 Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Marine League Chaplain Mike Fork. Burial will be in the Boggs Cemetery, Warnock, Kentucky. Military honors will be performed by Marine League Greenbo Detachment #1345 Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 9:00 pm and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
